 Meta Trak Pulsar is a wireless battery-powered vehicle/asset tracking device that hosts an array of features accessible via a dedicated smartphone app. Pulsar comes with a 3 year subscription plan as standard and a battery life of up to 3 years. This small, discreet device can be mounted in any orientation and then fixed via a a slim magnetic mount or by other means.

  • The Pulsar device remains in sleep mode until its daily programmable wake times, prolonging the battery life and ensuring that it’s totally undetectable. The device will wake up at an exact time each day to communicate your asset’s location. The Meta Trak Pulsar is ideal for customers who’s assets have no onboard power supply such as horse boxes, trailers, agricultural and plant equipment etc. Pulsar can be used as a stand-alone tracking device, or as back-up to another tracking system for ultimate security.

General Features

 

Position Report Scheduling

Through the Meta Trak Pulsar app you have the ability to set the time of day that you would like to receive a scheduled position update.


Programable Wake-up Frequency

Through the app you can then select the number of additional daily wake-ups whereby the device will wake to check for pending commands. One wake-up per day is advised for maximum battery life however the device can be configured to wake every hour to check for pending commands.


Pending Command Options

During a scheduled wake-up, the Pulsar device will check for and action, any pending commands as well as notifying you of any generated alerts.

  • Position Request -

    Receive an update of your asset’s latest position.

  • Activate Theft Mode -

    Receive your asset’s location every 60 seconds if a theft has occurred.

    Alerts

  • Geo-fence Breach -

    Get alerted if your asset moves outside of an established a Geo-fence zone.

  • Device Battery Status -

    Get a notification if your device’s battery is low.


Geo-fencing

Set a radial geo-fence zone from 100-10,000 metres in diameter from a specific point on the map using the Pulsar app. If your asset is located outside of your geo-fence zone at the next wake up you’ll receive a push notification to inform you of this. You can also set the device to automatically trigger ‘Theft Mode’ if your device moves outside of your geo-fence zone.


Theft Mode

Theft Mode can be activated via a command sent from the Pulsar app, at the devices next wake-up it will be put into Theft Mode. Once in Theft Mode the device will report an updated position of your asset every 60 seconds. You can set a time limit of how long the device stays in theft mode for or allow it to keep reporting updated positions until the devices batteries are exhausted.

Please note, putting the device into Theft Mode significantly impacts battery life and therefore should only be used in the case of a real theft.


Covertness

As the Pulsar device stays in sleep mode for almost all of the time (depending on your selected wake-up frequency) it remains undetectable even to specialist tools that could be used to try and locate it. With the pulsar device also being very small, discreet, magnetically mountable and requiring no hardwiring, it can be installed in locations not accessible for hardwired products enabling for an even more covert installation and mounting position. Ideal also for use as a back-up device to another tracking system for ultimate security.
